For several projects, Enbridge has hired Mandli to perform before-and-after analysis on paved roads used for the transportation of heavy loads. For one such project, Mandli collected data for approximately 504 miles of paved roads in Northern Illinois and into Wisconsin. Mandli made use of the LRIS, the LRMS, and the RSP to collect high-resolution pavement imaging, IRI, faulting, and rutting information. Mandli worked with Applied Pavement Technologies for some of the projects , a pavement engineering and analysis company that can provide such services as falling weight deflectometer tests, which provides a detailed report on the condition of the pavement below the surface.
