The following examples of pavement data and analysis are taken from a pavement data collection route in Tennessee.

Case 1 - Determining Fault Width

Because we know the speed of the vehicle, we could calculate the width of this fault if we knew the as-built spec angle of the fault.

Case 2 - Automatic Gain Settings

If the gain level is set for dark pavement, a PCC bridge may saturate the detector. The intensity gain must be adjusted to avoid this condition. The PPS2001 will do this automatically on the fly.
