Mandli Communciations Inc. Kicked off the New Your State VCMS Project on June 13th, 2005. Two Jeep Liberty's, equipped with Mandli's new up'graded VCMS , will be collecting the vertical clearance measurements of 7,100 bridges throughout the state of New York. Each Jeep will be managed by two of Mandli's highly experienced team members. While on crew member drives the vehicle, the operator monitors the VCMS as it collects the bridge clearance measurements at highway speeds.

New additions to the upgraded VCMS include an additional downward sensor, giving the system two upward and two downward laser sensors. Along with the additional sensors, the lasers' sampling rate increased from 770 Hz to 5000 Hz allowing for more measurements and an increased accuracy of the VCMS. Another feature installed on the Jeeps is the image capturing system,which is mounted inside the vehicle to automatically capture images of each structure that is measured.

Customized VCMS systems with GPS tagging can be built for purchase, or data can be delivered as a service package.
