Manual distress evaluation and PCI ratings are performed using downward images loaded into Roadview 6 software. The distress module of Roadview 6 offers predefined fields for each type of cracking. The person performing the manual evaluation steps through each image and determines the class of cracking for each one. That information is populated into a database that can be summarized over user-selected intervals.

The resolution of the Downward Imaging System is sufficient to provide a distress analysis that is consistent with the rating specified according to ASTM D-5340 or customized to fit a different rating system.
