System Integration Technician

Summary of the Position

The System Integration Technician will work with our engineers to provide a best-in-class data collection systems for use by internal and external users of Mandli collection products. The Engineering Team has responsibility over the design and build lifecycle of the collection hardware. As a member of the Engineering Team, you will be tasked with multi-disciplined jobs involving both mechanical and electrical functions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, test, and support vehicle based sensors and systems such as LiDAR, cameras, GPS, computers, etc.
  • Assist with vehicle system builds
  • Perform and document test plans
  • Follow validation processes for systems, sensors, and components
  • Validate all vehicle sensors and systems performance
  • Provide accurate records of system performance
  • Review and maintain technical documentation
  • Maintain accurate inventory of vehicle sensors and systems
  • Procure quotations and equipment from vendors
  • Work directly with Data Collection and Engineering teams to fix and improve systems
  • Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Specialized Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Ability to build, test, and rework circuit boards, cables, and wiring
  • Familiar with using various testing equipment and procedures
  • Proficient in use of common electrical tools like digital multimeter
  • Proper use and safety of common hand and power tools
  • Familiar with shop tools and machining tools
  • Familiar with using various testing equipment and procedures
  • Ambitious with a strong desire to expand knowledge in varying fields of engineering

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required in engineering field
  • 2 years experience with automotive electrical and mechanical systems
  • Experience building computers/servers from COTS components
  • Experience installing, updating, and configuring BIOS/UEFI, Linux based operating systems, Windows 7/10, macOS, firmware, drivers, and other software
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, function generators, AC and DC power supplies, and soldering irons

  • Valid driver’s license

This position may require limited travel of less than 10% of employee’s hours for travel within the United States of America.
